Decaf at TnT! (oh my)

Ladies and Gents!

I know it is hard to believe, I have had many request for Decaf coffee lately. We only select the best decafs for my shop. The Guatemala Swiss Process Decaf is one of the better I have tasted. It used to be many moons ago Decaf always had an aftertaste that would never leave due to the methylene chloride used to remove the caffeine from the unroasted coffee bean. Mamma T and I have drank this coffee in the past and have been amazed at the flavors and how similar it is to caffeinated coffee.

The best tasting decaf we have had is the Swiss Water process. You can see how this process is completed with the image attached.

Hard to believe but the first commercially successful decaffeination process was invented by German merchant Ludwig Roselius and co-workers in 1903 and patented in 1906. In 1903, Ludwig accidentally stumbled upon this method when his freight of coffee beans was soaked in sea water and lost much of its caffeine without losing much taste.

So if you have issues with caffeine yet love the taste of coffee we will begin having decaf in our shop on a regular basis starting today. Please place your orders today and we will roast on Sumday!
